A Set of Amazing Lights

Although lighting is always an essential part of interior design, some designers do little more than include soft track lighting and perhaps a chandelier in the dining area. The lights in this post are so much more than practical. They provide light while also bringing creativity, art, and even humor into any room where they might be placed.

More of an art project than a light fixture, designer Anila Quayyum Agha found inspiration for this intricate installation, from the exclusion that women experience in Islam as well as in Pakistan.

Floral Arrangments You Could Try This Spring

Flowers soften any room and make soft rooms positively dreamy, but they can also add unexpected dimensions to modern, even industrial spaces. Feminine selections are often reduced to a combination of, or a choice between: Lisianthus, Peonies, Roses, Dahlias or Tulips and being the most fashionable of the season, are the first to be featured.

Just as English Tea-Roses owe their name to the Motherland, long understood is the association of the Orchid, Lilly and Cherry Blossom with Oriental styling and the addition of a single one of these species to an Asian influenced room can solidify its theme.

Floral displays are as much about the choice of flower as they are about the choice of vessel. This can largely dictate whether the display will exude an antique or modern feel. The recycling of jars and bottles is not only good for the planet, but great for making a floral statement. Leaving the container, whatever it may be, in its original commercial state will work well in a modern industrial space, but if a vintage look is desired then a rustic paint job will give an old glass jar or bottle a new stylish purpose.

Foliage, in its various textural forms works well in minimalist and masculine spaces, as do other forms of greenery such as palm fronds, grasses and even branches, but be careful not to gloss over the still life appeal fruit and even vegetables, can have. In this same vein, pine cones are also a popular, however unlikely, styling tool in modern and natural spaces.

Wonderful Places to Read

The arrangement of such a place doesn't necessarily imply a chamfer wall, depending on the structure of the house. Sometimes, simply position a mattress or a small sofa in a window, for obvious reasons (to get as much natural light as you need).
Space for reading must be customized depending on the particular house. In the case of conventional homes, there is the problem of space, place to read can be arranged in a corner of the bedroom, but only if you can provide a good light, preferably natural. It is important lighting, natural light that removes depression, not tired eyes, unlike the artificial, namely light bulbs and neon.

How Can You Rearrange Your Basement - Bar Ideas

If you live in a house with basement / cellar, which still has a floor, one of the best investments you can do would be to set up an inside bar. It is true that, it's a luxury that not everyone can afford it, but can substantially increase the value of a house. In principle, the addition of such a bar in the house automatically creates a space for leisure with friends or family, plus it can be used, and as a place for dinner, or even learn or work.

What must be understood from the beginning is that for the construction of a bar to be possible, the basement must be well isolated against moisture, that to prevent mold or dampness. There are dehumidifiers that can help in this regard, practically dry walls.

Cool and Modern Showers

Showers, increasingly present in our lives, came to replace classical bathtubs, most often due to a lack of space. However, as you will see in showers collection of models that I made it for you, there is always a shower means a smaller space, on the contrary.

How Can We Turn The Attic Into A Living Space

As the number of family members increases, the available area measured in square meters per person decreases significantly. Therefore, today we talk about how we can turn the attic into a room that can be used as a living, but also as a bedroom, according to needs and preferences. Depending on the height, we can even speak of a final product consisting of one or more rooms that don't even look like it went through some transformation.

The biggest problem in attics where V is the shape of the ceiling, which reduces much of the living space, especially if the ceiling height is reduced to below average height. Must remember that it doesn't  necessarily matter than when actually there is no place for a person to be able to stand on at least 50% of the surface. In terms of furniture solutions are sufficient, but only if there is a desire to adapt to new living conditions.

Cool Mosaic for Your Home

Did you know that first appeared of mosaics 3500 years ago? They were used to decorate temples and palaces and houses of nobles and rich people. Paradoxically, despite the technological revolution, the manual technique of creating a mosaic has evolved a lot, being made piece by piece by the patient and skilled people.

Frequently, when it comes to mosaic, we think the first time on bathrooms, somehow rightly, because at least in the urban world, the bathroom is the most easily customized due to the insulating properties. For example, can be placed in the shower or around the mirror and on the floor, noting that the mosaic on the floor may favor slipping, depending on the type of material used.

However, you can place the plated mosaic walls in the kitchen, around the bars, but very important, can be placed outside. Certain types of mosaic may be placed in the pool, mentioning that there have smaller parts, concave, in order to prevent slipping in the water. Instead, exterior walls can be decorated beautifully, and access roads. No need for marble necessarily, because it can be used plastic and glass, but must be solid, held together by a hydrophobic binder.
